Teacher shortages, lack of diversity, outdated policies, inequitable access - learn how to be a part of the evolution of the education system at the 小妲己直播 School of Education.

A history major, Josiah's minor "allows me to understand the facilitation of learning, children's learning power, and teachers' strength. I was also exposed to antiracist pedagogy, an introduction I鈥檓 sure to keep with me forever because I believe it is the necessary crux for building a better world."

He traveled to Senegal with the class听Historical and Transatlantic Perspectives on Antiracist Teaching. "The experiential learning course and trip changed my life! Senegal was amazing, and the country welcomed me with open arms and a tight embrace. As the sole undergraduate student in the class, I absorbed as much as possible. I experienced history with my eyes, feet, and hands. Amazing!" Upon graduating, he will continue at AU to complete his master鈥檚 degree.听Learn about our education minors here.

"I'm Emilia, a graduate student and proud member of SOE's Special Education and Learning Disabilities (SELD) Master of Arts program. I was born and raised in Ecuador and earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology.听I chose the SELD program because I firmly believe that inclusion solves many global issues. Providing students with the opportunity to thrive regardless of their circumstances is a responsibility I feel passionate about spreading worldwide. The SELD MA program stands out for its unique and unwavering commitment to fostering inclusive, antiracist, and well-rounded individuals guided by outstanding professors and educators. So far, I've been learning about diverse teaching strategies, educational policies, and creating inclusive learning environments."
